Karrinyup Shopping Centre

A food evolution in shopping centres

An $800 million redevelopment of Karrinyup Shopping Centre was undertaken by AMP in line with the City of Stirling’s plans for a new town centre, delivering a world-class shopping, dining, and lifestyle precinct.

To identify a new customised food mix, B&P provided a detailed analysis of consumer spending habits, tenancy mix, and surrounding competition. The masterplan increased the F&B mix by an additional 20 establishments, including some of Perth’s most anticipated eateries by some of the state’s leading publicans, chefs, and hospitality operators – ensuring the new-look Karrinyup is Perth’s exclusive go-to hub for food and beverage.

What B&P resolved for AMP

  • Confirmed whether the addition of both a Café Court and Entertainment precinct was viable
  • Recommendations on how to strengthen the trading potential of the Entertainment Precinct through improved deign and mix
  • How to create a point of difference between the Food Court, café Court and Entertainment Precinct
  • Advice on how many additional F&B could

“The needs of customers have been changing for many years. Our customers have high expectations. They are looking for a unique destination where they can spend time with friends and family, whether its shopping for leading brands or dining at sophisticated venues…Karrinyup’s leading mix of food and beverage operators reflects the evolution of shopping centres.”
