A new vision for the kiosk at Shelly BeachTASK
The site at Shelly Beach known previously as ‘Le Kiosk’ had been operated by the incumbent for some 14 years.
The building was in a state of disrepair, the offer confusing and often the restaurant was fully booked for functions, which limited public engagement with the site.

Brain & Poulter were to identify potential operators and undertake an RFT on Council’s behalf.
OUTCOME
Brain & Poulter advised Council on the building conditions and strategies to secure an operator. Brain & Poulter revised the operating model to identify a separate function space, ensuring that the cafe/kiosk and restaurant elements were open to the public for more hours per day per year.
Brain & Poulter managed a swift and smooth RFT process, which brought hatted and leading operators previously unknown to Council. One of those proponents was appointed by Council, The Boathouse Group.
